Blindspot mirrors are the best insurance you can buy for your rear quarter panels! You know if someone is lurking back there with just a glance. Get your’s today!
Here’s the view using mine. Photo taken with HTC Droid Incredible. Pretty excellent for a 5 year old phone!
Bonus points if you can guess my car’s make, year and model ......
Here it is with !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

Not a fan. I have a relative who sticks these on every single car he owns.
EVERY. SINGLE. DARNED. CAR.

I usually get by with just a shoulder check. Though this morning my driver’s side rear window was fogged up, so I was making changes relying solely on my mirrors.

Mine came with them. If you can’t guess what my car is, you’ve probably been living under a rock.

Ford now has these standard on every car.
I don’t know how I feel about them on sedans. On trucks/vans, they’re a must. In a car, you can just tilt your mirrors outward and look sideways.
A Honda Civic I drove a few weeks ago had this funky warped edge to make the blindspot smaller. Kinda weird.

I always buy a pair of the round ones. I love them. I first got them out of necessity because I thought I was cool with JDM mirrors on my Supra. Now I get them because they really do elimitate blind spots.

I usually just look over my shoulder (habit from the Chevelle only having 1 [tiny] side mirror), but I’ve driven cars with the little mirrors and they are very, very handy.

Pretty damn sure that’s a Focus....My ST has the same mirrors. :p
Oh wait....Nah, that’s a Veyron mirror.

Oh man, I’m pretty sure it’s a Chiron mirror.

My side mirror is shaped in a similar way so it has flat inner sides, but a rounded outer tip. I’m trying to decide whether to put a rectangular fisheye like this on the inside edge of the mirror, or a circular one on the outer edge.
Did you select your mirror or its mounting location first?

No fool, it’s a Type 57 mirror.

OR ... you could just properly adjust your sideview mirrors to show your blind spot, as God intended. If you can see any part of your car in your sideviews, you are absolutely doing it wrong.

It’s an answer to the lack of visibility caused by the enormous pillars and high beltlines all modern cars have.

It is a little disorienting to have the mirrors pointed out all the way (aka not seeing the body of your own vehicle). That being said, everyone should have their mirrors set-up properly.

They’re a lot less ugly that a massive dent in the side of your car from merging into someone.

Always make sure the empty spot you want to merge into is not about to be merged into at the same time by somebody else in another lane!

That’s a good spot, the more I think about it.
Inside or outside edge won’t affect the image on the fisheye very much. It’s more about how I want to use the main mirror. I want the fisheye in the least-used quadrant. Putting it on the inside does leave the outer tip of the mirror available for “full”-sized reflections, which I think is valuable.
I do like to have just a minimal sliver of my own car’s body visible in the mirror as a reference point. So yeah, I think the upper inner corner is ideal.

Once you’d posed the challenge (“Bonus points if you can guess my car’s make, year and model”) I made a quick mental list of every modern car with windowlets built into the A-pillar, then began sifting through interior shots. The beveled (for lack of a better word) window sill gave it away. The edge of the speedometer pod also helped.

68,000 Miles rattle free. looks and drives like new. About the only bummer is it was getting 6000 miles to the quart and recently dropped to 2000 miles. I use Mobile 1 5 - 20 . My wife’s ‘02 si has 190,000 and still gets 6,000 to the quart. My one guess is most of my driving is 4 miles or less, whereas she averages 20 miles a trip.
![]() 12/03/2015 at 19:22 |

Mine is the same, I think mine uses about a quart every 6k. Mobil 1 synthetic since new. The only rattle is the drivers door panel when the bass drops.

Yep, those Si’s wear like iron. I would definately look at a new one next year, the biggest reason I might not get one is I have a perfectly good Si now.
PS, scanguage - the best toy you can get for an SI
